The School opened its doors to students on 3rd November 1997. In the first year of its operation,teaching was undertaken for classes Pre-Nursery, Nursery, KG-I & II. Since then the school has progressively advanced the classes every year upto O’ Level.The first batch of level students graduated in 2007.Another milestone is the introduction of 'A' Level in 2011.
The mode of teaching in the school is interactive and hands on with great emphasis on writing skills, comprehension, composition, conversation, arts and crafts. All out endeavours are made to impart education through latest teaching techniques. In order to keep the teaching staff abreast with new developments and techniques a number of workshops are arranged regularly in house and from outside agencies. The school is member of various institutions like Teacher Resource Centre (TRC), SPELT, British Council, Teachers Development Centre (TDC) and Aga Khan University Institute of Educational Development (AKU-IED), where the School’s teachers attend relevant workshops. |

The School places great emphasis on extra curricular activities like educational excursion visits to museums, zoo, places of interest, factories etc. The School organizes concerts, milads, dramas, art exhibitions, funfairs and sports galas regularly to inculcate spirit of teamwork,camaraderie,fellowship and sportsman spirit in the students.
In April 2002 the school expanded and acquired a second building for its CAMPUS-II in S.M.C.H.S, Karachi. Subsequently the senior students were shifted to the new Campus. Presently the CAMPUS-I at PECHS houses the classes Pre-Nursery to Grade-IV whereas CAMPUS-II houses classes from Grade V upto 'A' Level.Campus –II now shifted to a bigger and better premises in November 2008 ,
The schools are operated under the auspice of “THE ANCHORAGE EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY“ which is duly registered with the Government of Sindh and both Campuses are also independently registered with the City District Govt, Directorate of Education. The school’s administration comprises of Board of Governors, Administrator/Director, one Principal, two Vice Principals, (one for each Campus), Senior teachers, junior teachers, helper teachers, office staff and domestic staff.
